A History of Our Sauce

Baldwins Barbecue sauce has been passed down for generations, three in fact. In 2018 when my father Tom Baldwin passed away, it was officially transferred down to me (I have been helping make it since a child with my grandfather, then father). Every year we support the Holbrook Volunteer Fire Department with their annual 4th of July BBQ by making the sauce for them.
This takes me to 2018 the first year that it was my turn to make the sauce, it was a tough time as my dad had passed only months prior. I believe community is important and keeping that tradition alive was important as well. There had been people asking for years how they could get some of the sauce from the annual BBQ to have at home, and that sparked the Idea that I would bottle some and sell it.
My first order of bottles was only 5 cases (60 bottles), I had a friend make us some labels, and we named it “Baldwins Firehouse Sauce”. I am pretty sure all 60 were gone before I even had the sauce completely bottled. It has evolved into not only a local market in Holbrook, AZ but has taken off in the phoenix metro area as well as the Texas panhandle. For those of you who were there for the first 60 bottles, thank you. For everyone else, thank you too! If you haven’t tried our sauce, I of course recommend it.
